The experience is unique, the place is magical and your taste buds are blown away.
You will definitely eat more than you can and for good reason, its delicious!

Chez Bruno is often referred to as the King of the Truffle, both his sons now work in the family business and surely truffles runs through their veins too. 
The first time I truly discovered what it meant to have a truffled meal, was when Benjamin Bruno (the elder son) had his restaurant 'Diamond Noir' (black diamond) in Nice and I had truffle in every dish, including in my drink.. truffle infused champagne; unexpectedly it was excellent. 
Benjamin truly proved himself to his father, having guests as such Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco in his Restaurant. Today he can be found running the 'Bruno' kitchen in Lorgues. 

THE 'BLACK' TRUFFLES
Summer is the season for black truffles, the two which stand out are the 'Tuber Aestivum' and the 'tuber Melanosporum' variety, these are also known as the 'fine' black truffles. After the white truffle, they are the most important truffles in quality and therefore the the price reflects that.
The 'tuber Melanosporum' black truffle is easily confused with other black truffle varieties: two main differences, its intense aroma and dark flesh with white veins. (as seen in the photos above). 
The 'tuber Melanosporum' is best prepared raw on warm dishes to bring out the flavors and just as excellent served with cold condiments. You will find it prepared in both manners at Bruno's, either way, your taste buds will be satisfied. 

WHAT I LOVED
What I loved and what you will love as well if you happen to visit, is the amount of the truffles which they serve you, they don't shy away for serving you excellent dishes and bucket loads truffle in your plate. 

 The addiction is real. Embrace it.

TRANSPORTATION
Drive from Nice in 1hour and 20mins or from St Tropez in 45mins through Provence or Take a heli ride from Nice or La Mole in St Tropez and get there in just 13mins. 

If you are coming from Nice, its just as easy with 30mins flight time. Skip the traffic which usually takes hours during the summer months due to the small national roads. For all your flying in South of France, use MonacAir
